The Season in one post

Ahem, testing one, two, is this thing on? Hello there, you. Well it seems as if my New Year's resolution to not change one single thing about myself is working. I am still and ever will be crap as far as bloggers go. It is only the 23 of Jan and I am FINALLY posting about Christmas. Sheesh! Rather than bore us all with an apology I am just going to go ahead and present....the Bake Family Christmas.

The ward Christmas party(which Dave and Henry boycotted because seriously, who plans these events on a Saturday morning) Millie was terrified of Santa and Max just wanted to go back to bed.
Making Penoche(my late grandpa's tradition) with the Bales'/Scott's, plus tubing behind the Rhino and hot cocoa consumption. The Christmas Eve lights at the cemeteryOne of the reasons I married Dave, he looks awesome in hats.
Christmas Eve was joyous with Elv's traditional holiday fare there was also some Christmas Eve flirtationsChristmas Eve disgustChristmas Eve primpingChristmas Eve AwesomenessChristmas Eve TeethChristmas Eve Wonder Chrismas Eve Adoration
Christmas Eve togethernessChristmas Eve family in their new p.j.s
Since the boys now live down stairs we made them blow the fog horn and wake us up before they came upstairs, turns out Dave and I are not so easily awakened and the boys about had a nervous break-down. All in all it was a swell day with lots of happy kiddos and parents and peeps.
Other major happenings of the Season
- stomach flu for everyone
- the dream piano
- Mark and Meg for 24 days
- great hair cut by Megs
- time with Rachelle and clan
- emotional outbursts and radical mood swings
- some major neglect of major holiday traditions
- New Year's Eve Extravagnaza
- Joy joy joy
- A deeper appreciation for my peeps and for my Saviour

P.S. Sorry to anyone who actually had to hang out with me this season. I know I was ridiculous and not a little wimpy. Just you wait, next year I am going to make Buddy the Elf look like a scrooge.

You are way too hard on yourself. Even if you felt miserable, you were still funny. Something you will never lose.
